🇫🇷 Kalim est un catamaran de croisière rapide et facile. Les mâts non haubanés en carbone permettent de s’affranchir de la « dictature » du gréement marconi.
Les deux mâts simplement emplantés dans chaque coque portent des ailes arisables de type « Matin bleu » conçues par Guy Beaup. De 20 à 30% plus efficaces qu’une voile classique, ces ailes fonctionnent avec un accastillage très simple ( deux winches sur le Kalim).
L’abaissement du centre de gravité du gréement et du centre de voilure rend le catamaran très stable et sécurisant. L’efficacité et la finesse des ailes permettent un cap au près serré et des virement de bords rapides et sans aucun effort.
Résine époxy et fibres de verre bi et triaxial traitées par infusion ont permis de construire une plateforme rigide et légère. Les aménagements volontairement gardés sous contrôle ( avec « seulement » deux grandes cabines doubles et un cabinet de toilette) participent à la structure et à la légèreté. Les circuits d’eau et d’électricité sont eux aussi restés simples, limitant l’entretien au strict minimum.
Avec déjà plus de 25 000 milles parcourus, en passant par la Patagonie, la Polynésie et l’Alaska, le Kalim a montré le bien fondé de sa conception et une voie d’avenir pour la plaisance.

Kalim is a fast and easy cruising catamaran. Free standing carbon fiber masts make it possible to forget the « dictatorship » of marconi rigging.
The two masts simply planted in each hull carry reefable wings of the « Blue Morning » type designed by Guy Beaup. From 20 to 30% more effective than a conventional sail, these wings work with a very simple hardware (two winches on the Kalim).
The lowering of the center of gravity of the rigging and of the center of effort makes the catamaran very stable and safe. The efficiency and low drag of the wings allows a very good upwind angle and effortless tacks.
Epoxy resin, bi- and triaxial glass fibers treated by infusion have made it possible to build a rigid and light platform. The accommodation voluntarily kept under control (with « only » two large double cabins and a bathroom) contribute to the structure and lightness. The water and electricity circuits have also remained simple, limiting maintenance to the strict minimum.
With already more than 25,000 miles traveled, via Patagonia, Polynesia and Alaska, the Kalim has shown the merits of its design and a path of the future for sailing multihulls
